General Information

Eligibility

The Fifth Continental Meeting of Indigenous Women of the Americas is open to all Indigenous women but priority will be given to members of the Continental Network of Indigenous Women of the Americas.


Profile of participants

Delegates:

  • Indigenous women representing Indigenous women organizations at regional, national or international levels

  • Indigenous women representatives of Indigenous organizations with particular involvement of Indigenous women at regional, national and international levels

  • Prominent Indigenous women at the national or international level

Observers:

  • Regional, national and international institutions

  • Nongovernmental organizations (NGOs)

  • Invited government officials

Languages

Simultaneous translation will be provided in English, French and Spanish. Conference documents will also be translated to the three official languages of the meeting.

Registration Process

Indigenous women interested in participating in the Fifth Continental Meeting must fill out the application form and return it before June 15, 2007.

Costs

Participants are responsible for their travel arrangements from their point of origin to Trudeau Airport, Montreal. Transportation will be available for international participant to go to the Kahnawake Survival School.

There is registration fee of $110 for delegates and $130 for observers that will cover the meals and logistics that will be provided on-site by the organizers from 5 p.m. on July 9th to 5 p.m. July 11th, 2007.
